The cause of such a mess up? An unruly ALCo Brooks 0-6-0 that was meant to replace the line's aging 2-4-2. It LOVED jumping tracks so much that not long after purchase, the 0-6-0 was sold.

Here's a rather unsung locomotive! This is ex-US Army 1843, an FM H12-44. She was one of 20 built for the Army and is among 16 other survivors, including 9 other ex-military units! 1843 holds the distinction of being the only operable H12-44 in the Northeast, per the R&GVRRM.

If I get into the industry I want to do everything I can to stop this madness. I know, lofty goals, but SOMETHING has to be done.

Looks like Canadian Pacific is finally nearing the end of her 17 year long rebuild! Some test runs were done on the Mid Hants on the 1st and 6th this month, and wow it's sounding great! The runs were done without her smoke deflectors, and I must admit it's a rather dopey look.
