Chicago Burlington & Quincy 4-6-2 Pacific 2830 with bi-level cars on a commuter train at the Downers Grove coach yard in Illinois in the year 1952. So just like the C&NW, CB&Q light pacifics pulled bi-level cars.

The new Lionel Chicago & Alton 4-4-2 Atlantic from Ericstrains in comparison to a C&A Pacific in its early years with the exact paint scheme. Unfortunately, I could not find any of their 4-4-2s with that scheme. It's a damn good paint scheme for an SP Atlantic!

Today wasn't just my birthday, it was the 60th anniversary of the last run of my favorite passenger train, The Texas Special on the Katy in 1965. In the last minutes of July 1st 2025, we celebrate and we cherish the memory of one of America's finest passenger trains.

Just got an Atlas General American 53'6" express reefer in Missouri Kansas Texas lettering! The car is numbered 1313 and it arrived on friday the 13th Ironically, it's very lucky because it just fits with my Williams 60ft madison cars It also works fine on O36 curves and looks very nice with 382

Missouri Kansas Texas railroad anomaly (as far as I know due to very little information) This is Pacific 97, a very early 4-6-2 on the M-K-T. If I had to guess judging by its design, it's possibly an early H-1 or H-2a or H-2b light pacific. I couldn't find this engine on any official M-K-T roster

Apparently someone at the model railroad near me has a model of this B&O mikado in storage. This was the last B&O steam locomotive running in May of 1958 421 was a usra light mikado

Saw a model of 1218 with white walls recently and even a model of the last Y6b 2200.

I finally found a colored photo of one of the two Rock Island M50 class mountains with the short lived red paint scheme from around 1945. Two engines, 4047 and 4055 here were painted like this. 4055 burned coal, while 4047 burned oil.

The compressed S class This is a Milwaukee Road L-3 mikado, but this particular engine #341 has a marslight and a 6 axle tender. I think it's a usra heavy mikado.

Can Frisco and M-K-T fans not get screwed over by lack of demand for once It's probably why MTH canceled these. We almost got good semi scale Frisco passenger cars for once...

Broadway made all those SP&S and NP 4-8-4s, yet we still don't have Spokane Portland & Seattle 700 as Northern Pacific 2668 Obscure fact: 700 was disguised as a Northern Pacific A-3 in 1992, specifically the next member if production continued. Last one was 2667, so 700 was disguised as "2668"
