I'm thrilled to announce a new tree-planting partnership with Rise Light & Power and @bigreuse.bsky.social in Western Queens. Through Rise’s $100,000 investment, we will restore 15-20 damaged tree pits along Vernon Boulevard and between 35th and 40th Avenues.

Caring for NYC's 660,000+ street trees is direly needed during this unprecedented drought.

The City Council voted overwhelmingly in favor of legislation this week that would require a steady increase in the number of parks with composting facilities through July 2028.
