I’m just about to begin posting my list of the #SFGiants Top 10 Prospects…but I’ve already posted the reports for the prospects from number 11 to number 35! It’s a great time to look back on all of them! Here’s the list with links to the videos on TikTok!

Wick is an interesting pickup...this clearly is basically just calling "Dibs" on a comeback in 2027. He's got some big time stuff and has been kind of a backup closer for the Cubs and had a monster year in Japan. But...ask me again in a year and a half.

The #SFGiants signing Harrison Bader is a good move. It's not great, it won't change this team's fortune's singlehandedly, but it fills a hole in the outfield and certainly fits the team's supposed pitching-and-defense profile. About $10.25M a year for him is good value.

Can confirm. My last two videos I’ve published have not been shown to anybody. I hope this gets fixed soon. Also, I wish I could use skylight.social, but until they allow videos longer than 3 minutes, it won’t be usable for my channel.

The #SFGiants traded minor league catcher Carlos Ramirez to the Marlins for an undisclosed amount of Bonus Pool money. Not a surprise. I hear the Giants have three more prospects waiting to sign but ran out of pool space. I expect we’ll get one more deal like this. Maybe two. 🤷‍♂️

Here’s the 2026 San Jose Giants coaching staff. Mike Marjama was the Triple-A hitting coach for the National Championship Jacksonville team last year. The #SFGiants have decided to place him at Low-A San Jose, where he is going to work with a very exciting group of young prospects. Interesting.

Quick Hit: the Richmond Flying Squirrels announced their coaching staff today. The majority of the staff returns from last year, led by Manager Dennis Pelfrey, pitching coach Paul Oseguera, and fundamentals coach Lipso Nava. The new hitting coach will be Tommy Everidge.

The Giants investment in Latin America changed with Bobby Evans, and then really continued with Farhan Zaidi, and both Gonzalez's and Hernandez's commitments were made while Zaidi was in charge. Hopefully it only continues with Posey, doesn't look like it will stop. sfstandard.com/2026/01/14/s...

The #SFGiants have signed pitcher Caleb Kilian and infielder Buddy Kennedy to minor league deals, per the team’s transaction log. Kilian was an 8th-round pick by the Giants in 2019 and shipped to the Cubs in the Kris Bryant trade. Kennedy has an .816 OPS across 8 MiLB seasons

Welcome back to Gregory Santos, a former #SFGiants prospect. He had his development rushed by an early Rule 5 protection, and struggled with his control around knee surgery. He still has his velocity, and while he'll get a MLB Spring Invite, I expect he'll work a lot on his stuff in Sac.

On the Adrian Houser signing, I tend to like it, though for a little over ten million a year, I'm disappointed others missed the cut. Houser's track record long-term isn't great, but last year he found something new and his groundballs fit the #SFGiants and the park.

The #SFGiants signed minor league free agent Jake Holton off of Detroit's system. Interesting to see a RHH first baseman signed in the minors, considering the two lefties at the spot in the big leagues. But Holton looks more like he'll be manning the spot in Sacramento (or maybe Richmond).

Count me a little surprised the Giants didn’t take any relievers in the Rule 5 draft. I thought it would be a solid way to expand their options in a big area of need going into next year.

Baseball America's Top 10 for the #SFGiants is out, and while there's a lot of non-surprises, I definitely did not expect #5.

And here is the official word: No protections from the #SFGiants.

Reportedly, the #SFGiants have their pitching coach, Justin Meccage. Meccage was most recently the Brewers Triple-A pitching coach, and formerly was the Pirates Assistant Pitching Coach and later Bullpen Coach, and he earned high praise from then-Pirates manager Shelton. fansided.com/mlb/sources-...

It's 13 minutes past the MLB deadline to add players to the 40-man roster ahead of the Rule 5 Draft. So far, the #SFGiants have not announced any roster moves, although some teams are still making announcements.

I was hoping that Black might slide through waivers, but no such luck. Martin is a 12th round pick from 2023, has some velocity upside and a slurvy breaking pitch, and a couple of decent Single-A seasons, though he's struggling with control in the AFL right now.

Parks Harber is unsurprisingly on the Fall Stars roster for the AFL's version of an All-Star Game. Slightly surprisingly, he's the only #SFGiants representative. I thought Ryan Murphy or Spencer Miles had a chance to get on the list as well.

So it is Tony Vitello for the #SFGiants manager job. There were a lot of interesting guys in this search...but I think Vitello is the most exciting. I'm eager to see what he can do, and honestly, I'm excited to see what he does for developing the team's younger players.
