So it is Tony Vitello for the #SFGiants manager job. There were a lot of interesting guys in this search...but I think Vitello is the most exciting. I'm eager to see what he can do, and honestly, I'm excited to see what he does for developing the team's younger players.

Tonight’s Arizona Fall League game in Scottsdale was interrupted by an alarm requiring an evacuation of the stadium. No clear reason, and press and fans are being allowed to mill around outside.

Service time and active service time can get complicated when determining graduation status. We put together the names that grauduated in 2025 and will still keep rookie status next season.

A few years ago, while he was on the team, I was saying that Stephen Vogt was a future manager. Obviously, I’ve got no regrets on that prediction now. But that is exactly the kind of manager the Giants need with this team. I don’t know who that is though.

Boy, Wily Adames sure didn’t waste time putting one of the Bonds’ curses to bed. First pitch! For the first time since Barry, a #SFGiants player has hit 30 home runs (as a Giant).

This is quite interesting, and a very big honor for Trevor Cohen, who slashed .327/.438/.402 across 28 games, though with just three doubles, one triple, and one home run in 107 at-bats. He had 20 walks to 15 strikeouts, and eight steals in ten attempts.

The new ABS system will introduce a new skill needed for players, particularly catchers: Effective appeals. With "two" challenges (realistically, two failed challenges), the need to be accurate is important. On the defense, the catcher is best suited to handle appeals.

The #SFGiants got a B+ from BA for the season, thanks to several breakouts, and the only thing keeping them from an A were some injuries and a lack of successful promotions. Still, overall a positive season!

Former Dodgers top prospect Diego Cartaya will make his #SFGiants organization debut in Low-A, trying to work his way back. He played in Triple-A earlier this season for the Twins before being released, and signed by the Giants.

#SFGiants prospect Jhonny Level just had the worst of innings. After a ball went under his glove earlier this inning, another one took a weird hop off the first and smacked him in the face. He stayed down for a moment, and came out of the game.

The weather in the Dominican Republic took out the last day of Pool play in the DSL Cup. All but two games were cancelled, and the remaining two got suspended, as all four teams in them (Including DSL Giants Black) could advance depending on the results, to come Sunday.

#SFGiants 1st rounder Gavin Kilen got his first hit, and it’s a bases-loaded single to knock in 2 runs and out the San Jose Giants ahead 3-2 in the 2nd inning today.

Kind of lost in the news of the Giants sending their top two draft picks to San Jose...the Giants sent 15th round pick Damian Bravo straight to High-A Eugene, and he debuted today with a 3-for-3 game!

Bay Area Giants fans...go see the San Jose Giants. This team is getting more and more loaded every day and is absolutely destroying their competition. They've scored double-digit runs now in their last four games, and five of the last seven. They're up 12-0 in the 3rd now.

Updates from San Jose...the Visalia starter can't hit the strike zone. Giants 1st round pick got hit by a pitch in his first plate appearance, then Jhonny Level walked, and both later scored on a Walker Martin single.

The San Jose Giants are adding 1st round pick SS Gavin Kilen, 3rd round pick Trevor Cohen, and undrafted free agent Daniel Rogers. Rogers was a utility player for Iowa, but the official roster lists him as a catcher.

The Giants should have a decision to make on Jerar Encarnación in the next day or so. He has exhausted his 20-day rehab assignment, so they will need to decide whether to add him back to the active roster or put him on waivers.

One thing that has quickly been evident for the new Giants' front office is that they appreciate low strikeout rates and in-zone contact skills with hitters. Drew Gilbert brings both, with a 15.9% strikeout rate and 88.1% in-zone contact rate in Triple-A this season.

What I’ll be looking for, Whisenhunt has been vast majority FB/CH to RHH, FB heavy, with even CH/SL to LHH. Not much faith in the slider this year. RHH will sit CH and if he’s 90-92, can catch up to FB. Will see how he tackles it.
