Finally got around to reading Ben R. Rich’s “Skunk Works” and lord it’s a goldmine. The first U-2 made had issues with spraying oil onto the windshield. They fixed it by stuffing the compressor with Kotex menstrual pads to soak up the extra oil. I can’t make this shit up.
