I want to make sure my students have exactly what they need for projects this Fall in the Library Makerspace. I've created two projects through DonorsChoose. Your support would mean so much to my students. In return, you'll receive our heartfelt gratitude.🫶🏾

I had a good time chatting with Janette & Leah hosts of, “Can’t Shelve This.” This podcast is a production of Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS). This was a really great discussion of local-state-national library support & memberships. Check it out. 📚

Look who I met at the DC screening of “The Librarians” on Friday:
@kcboyd.bsky.social
! KC had the BRILLIANT idea of using the film in MLIS programs. Although we learn about intel freedom in grad school, nothing really prepares you for the attacks when they happen. The film shows how to fight back.

Great job, Cole! I was always amazed by the focus & persistence that perler beads could elicit from my HS students, some of whom had no attention span for classroom work, proving the problem wasn’t “them” but the banality of the task. Give students creative choices for showing mastery of concepts.
