There is a lot of demand for digital privacy and security advice out there right now and lots of people are giving advice and writing guides. I beg them to do a few things: 1. Be explicit about the threat model your advice is meant for.

is to add the following line to every prompt: Good vibes ONLY. You don't want bad vibes in "your" code.

One of my students sent me the latest quantum factorization record, and I have to admit: I’m shook.

Replication of Quantum Factorisation Records with an 8-bit Home Computer, an Abacus, and a Dog
This paper presents implementations that match and, where possible, exceed current quantum factorisation records using a VIC-20 8-bit home computer from 1981, an abacus, and a dog. We hope that this ...

the “C” in “CPU” stands for the C Programming Language. CPUs are called that because they are a hardware implementation of the C Abstract Machine as specified by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 22/WG 14.

What's Meta doing with the internal protest, censoring it on workchat or just adding "community engagement notes"?

Call for SPI flashes at
#38C3
I'm developing some SPI-flash tools and want to try a variety of devices and flash chips for testing. Got devices where it's tricky to dump in-system or rare flash chips? I'd love to test them at
#38c3
if you can bring them!

The biggest mistake CS did historically is moving too close to the pure math department and forgetting that as an engineering discipline teaching everyone sound empirical science is important.
