The last couple weeks have been isolating. HVAC still dead (hopefully being replaced tomorrow🤞), storms, 97F heat plus humidity, toxic housemate making it so I can't have conversations outside my office, the heat causing me to need to keep my PC off and avoid my office- stay upstairs in AC -

Been having some vision issues with the new meds, but wanted to try some sketch practice for the first time in a few months. Pencil on paper. He is my muse, my confidant, my guiding light. I'm thankful every day for finding Lystliss. 💙

Today is one of those days where it feels like being punished for doing everything right (medically), and it doesn't get any easier. Today has been difficult. It's allowed to be difficult. Life is difficult, as is dealing with medical issues. I give myself permission to rest and try again later.

Today I got a diagnosis of NCS- Neurocardiogenic Reflex Syncope. Basically, my heart rate and blood pressure bottom out to the point my heart can stop and it causes me to black out. I have a name for one of the primary issues I've had for YEARS that so many ignored as made up or me overexaggerating!

Life update: Several more medical appts to go. Slowly ruling out some things, getting confirmation on others. Still dealing with house issues and toxic housemate(s) (stealing from me again and thinking I haven't noticed, leaking pipes, HVAC still broken, etc). I'm still alive but very drained.

A vent comic I did last year about a small few of the symptoms I experience with my chronic conditions. Maybe others can relate. Part 1:

Explain your lore but poorly: Gluttonous space entity disowned by family and shot across the universe to crash land on Earth only to discover sugar and cute things, proceeds to develop an addiction, and sometimes makes friends along the way who encourage said addiction.

I don't see a lot of people discussing the fatigue and burnout with seeking a diagnosis (or new diagnosis) and how incredibly overwhelming it can be with all the back-to-back appointments and constant barrage of tests. Be kind to yourselves and take breaks as needed. I'll be doing the same ✨💙

I have survived my work event and am still recovering from lung issues with Covid (not contagious, thankfully). Going to enjoy relaxing as much as I can around the new round of doctor visits the next few weeks and try to get back to streaming as able. I've missed everyone! ✨🎉

I am no longer feverish or contagious. Still having breathing issues. I won't be streaming for another week or two. Big work event next weekend and still need time to recover my voice. For now, I'm gonna enjoy the rain and eat all the cough drops! lol

Housemate brought Covid home... refuses to get tested or quarantine. So now I have it. 102°F fever, severe vertigo, severe joint pain, etc. and I have my big beginning-of-the-year work event in 2 weeks. Nothing is fully finished. Help... T_T

Saw my doctor today. Data backs up stuff I've been saying for a while. So now, I get to be put on a heart monitor and then we'll go from there. One step closer to another diagnosis and maybe not blacking out at random anymore (or at least not as often as it has been)! 🎉

Today's grind is listening to early to mid 2000's hits and grinding out some admin, display design, and product packaging design work for my day job. I have been awake since 5am. I wish I could have coffee lol

To the small handful of people who let me ramble on and on for hours upon hours about my day job/small business and the things that I'm excited about- Thank you. It means the world that you care enough to take an interest and sometimes help motivate me on difficult days. 💙✨

When people claim they love you- friend, family, romantic partner, etc.- then treat you like you're a burden or the problem when you're already feeling awful for being chronically ill and needing help? That's not actually love. Love isn't treating someone poorly for things out of their control.

Woke up at a decent time today, had to get some house chores/cleaning done. Tried to get some work for the day job done, but can't seem to stay awake at all. Looks like it's gonna be a self-care day for rest and listening to what the body needs.

I've been enjoying playing with the newest emote prototype- hugs. Made one for Lys and for myself. 😀 No hate to the OG design, but I like adding a bit of a personal touch where I can. ✨

1/2 I have friends who love me, who are willing to help me fight my inner demons and show me how much I mean to them- friends that want to see me smile and wish all the best things for me. Friends who stop by to wish me well even when overbooked, who make time to spend a whole day with me.
