i love priest's brain and how deep she goes into the sociopolitical worldbuilding in her speculative worlds. telling time is a political act. the ability to have your own face as a class marker. cultivation as a non-renewable resource. let me look inside her head

priest also has a knack for pairing 2 people who are equally scary mfs in different ways
