My synthwave DJ set at Fauna last night was a blast. I had as much fun putting the playlist together as I had playing it for everyone, and I can hardly wait to come back next Friday and play more great music. 😁

I used to enter contests so that I could afford to rent a stream slot for one week, because I was expected to provide my own streams at my former jobs. These polarizing contests usually gave me chicken feed, while others earned well over L$1K. This led to burnout and of course made me want to quit.

This is the Alesis SR-16, a drum machine that's been part of my music setup since July 2025. I use it for its drum sounds and as a drum sequencer for many of my covers and OC's. The SR-16 was first introduced in 1990 and is still being made. Photo was taken using a Fujifilm Finepix S1500 from 2009.

I think it's safe to say that I'm finally over this cold. 😁 Though it would have taken a bit longer had Elly not been pushing me to drink plenty of fluids and increase my Vitamin C intake. 😂 Thank you once again @ellyelyran.bsky.social for helping me get through this cold. I really owe you one.

Had to block someone on SL yesterday, because they were annoying me by trying to tell me what to write in my fictions, and that I should write my fiction their way, all because they want me to comply with their "lore". Yeah, if I did things their way, then it wouldn't be my fiction anymore. 🤦‍♂️

About a quarter of the way through my set on Friday, Mixxx wanted to play what was originally in my playlist before two requested tracks, so I took Mixxx off of Auto DJ mode and added the tracks by hand. It was then that I discovered that it’s a lot more fun to queue up tracks manually. ^-^

Tonight, I'm continuing this week's circus theme with the soundtrack to a favorite movie musical from 2017, and after that, I'll play some stuff from the 80s, the 80s, some techno, and much more.

For last night's DJ set, I tried a different setup that proved to be quite successful. Previously, I had been using my 2019 Lenovo laptop for SL and my 2024 MacBook for streaming, but last night I decided to swap the two computers' roles. The Lenovo handled the stream exceedingly well... [1/3]

Tonight, I will be hosting my nautical DJ set at Moonlight Rollerway in Fauna, from 7-9 PM SLT. Two hours of yacht rock, beach music and songs of the sea are on deck (pardon the pun). I’m really looking forward to seeing you! 😁
