The church in this CBS Morning News story is my church. It shows the injustice facing hardworking, law-abiding families here legally. They’re our friends, our neighbors, our faith community. They deserve better. Most Americans agree. What our government is doing is deeply wrong and unacceptable.

Weird that the FCC Chair had no issue with Kilmeade wanting to euthanize homeless people.

Shouldn’t this be some sort of FCC violation for a “news” program? Ya can’t shout fire in a theater right? Can you simply suggest to your well-armed, questionably competent viewers that your organization condones murder?

Seeing Fox host Brian Kilmeade call for homeless and mentally ill Americans to be killed by “involuntary lethal injection” is depraved. This rhetoric puts lives at risk. Also, it’s important to remember that homeless and mentally ill people are far more often victims of violence than perpetrators.

Most coverage of yesterday's press conference doesn't do justice to the women who spoke. It is weak. The victims voiced just anger at the reality of two Americas: "One for those with power and privilege, and one for everyone else." It's maddening to see so many trying to silence them.

Trump’s policy = socialism for billionaires. Real capitalism: people profit from their labor + have a safety net. Tax breaks for workers boost communities; wealth hoarded by billionaires does not.

A million is not enough. It needs to be an amount that might deter them from continuing to do this.

I agree with Pritzker that Trump does not read books. As a friend of mine said, it’s clear he hasn’t read the Psalms, Shakespeare, or Greek tragedy. It’s also clear he hasn’t read the Ten Commandments, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights.

He’s providing them with valuable mulching experience though.

Newsom does need to be engaging in this. Johnson and other politicians who have failed their own states (and who are too corrupt to truly serve their constituents) are now working to spread their cruel, racist, and destructive agenda across the entire country. The public deserves to know the truth.

I never thought we'd get to the point when eating a healthy diet would be an act of resistance against our government. The only explanation for all of this propaganda against medicine and science is that Trump and Kennedy are in fact working for a power that wants to harm Americans.

My father was a Navy pilot who flew the Hump (the airlift route over the Himalayas in WWII), and one thing I know for certain is that he would abhor using the military to aggrandize Donald Trump.

Nearly 400,000 American kids have faced gun violence at school. Our leaders’ inaction created this nightmare. In Oregon, people convicted of murder as minors gain gun rights five years after serving time—and neither party seems to care.

In America, we have relentless violence with leaders who are seeking personal wealth rather than leading. The ones like Rubio and Vance, who call themselves Christians and do nothing to stop this kind of violence, are the worst. They do not care about their neighbors or even children for that matter

Instead of harassing and detaining hardworking immigrants, taking over arts institutions, conducting influence campaigns in Greenland, or prosecuting the guy who threw a sandwich, maybe this administration should work on preventing gun violence. They are not Christians in any meaningful sense.

Trump and his minions push gerrymandering in the US and shameless influence campaigns abroad. Project 2025 aims to turn the presidency into a near-imperial power, using lies and deception against US voters and allies alike.

New research shows people in Denmark age the slowest—about 2.35 years younger than their chronological age—followed by people in the Netherlands and Finland. Surprisingly, poor aging is linked to politics. I wonder if Denmark’s practice of teaching empathy from ages 6 to 16 plays a role.

Trump idolizes autocrats who kill civilians and journalists — first MBS, now Putin. He calls himself “law and order” while cozying up to murderers and wishing well to sex traffickers like Ghislaine Maxwell, as long as they bribe him or help him cling to power. All while crushing the vulnerable.

I hope Pope Leo’s actions inspire U.S. Catholic churches, many of which are unwelcoming to the homeless - I’ve seen it firsthand when I accompanied a homeless friend to Catholic churches. Too many Catholic clergy helped Trump gain power and are not challenging his cruel approach to the homeless.

Setting the stage to walk away from this issue because Europe and Ukraine won't be bullied by the US into accepting Russia's terms and Trump does not have the stamina to handle a long negotiation. Rubio is a disgrace.

The large number of senior European leaders who are accompanying Zelensky to the White House tomorrow is not exactly testimony to their trust in Trump. Quite the contrary. It is one of the most remarkable open acts of distrust of a US president ever.
