A reader accused me of not sugar coating the news, but delivering the stark truth. I had to reply: "Thanks. Though I sugar coat plenty. The truth is so grim, you can water it down a lot and it still seems stark." 2026 is going to be terrible, with ICE gaining strength and Trump a wounded beast.
