Something I wish liberals - and, for that matter, a lot of leftists - would internalize: The goal is not to out-argue, disprove, fact-check, debate, or point out the inconsistencies or hypocrisies of fascists. The goal is to defeat them.

Think of everything Angelinos have been through in the past decade. From some of the wealthiest employers in the world abusing their workers to apocalytpic fires.

I don't know why Ontarians are so fascinated by these chuds. In Alberta we're forced to have otherwise mundane interactions with them on a semi-regular basis and it's nothing but exhausting. They're not interesting, they're not the majority, they're not worthy of the ink that is spilled for them.

Here's hoping he never knows another day that isn't plagued with insecurity and existential dread at the knowledge that no matter how rich and powerful he gets, people don't like him and there's nothing he can do about it.

Yeah, I am cutting way back on buying American, but....the THo's breakfast sandwich is an extremely poor substitute for an Egg McMuffin. I don't think I can do it.

Another thing we should retire: headlines that read 'Why X Thing is Worse Than You Think'. It's smug, it's scoldy, it assumes inadequate thinking on the part of the readers.

Can we retire the 'grabbing my popcorn' joke? Please? It is stale beyond all reckoning at this point. Also, the events unfolding before us are not 'grab my popcorn' events. These are not 'grab my popcorn' times, JFC

Man, it's a pretty rough reflection on the Democrats that Pierre Polievre is more willing to push back against a hard-right fashy tyrant than they are.

David Lynch's work means a lot to me. I'm so sorry to hear he had a falling out with the woodpeckers, but wherever they are now, even they are surely appreciating all the transcendence he left behind.

'Queer people are dangerous to children'? A great many queer people ARE children. I'm stating the obvious, but seriously. Sit with that. They're children. Children aren't a danger to anyone.
