In every past experimental project we've gotten VSTs working, the UI has always acted weird, like responding to some input events but not others. I expect we will run into stuff like that again, but this time we will figure it out.

This is a highly ambitious goal, but here at the Roses we aim high. I want the DAW we're building to take over Logic as our main DAW. For this, the piano roll and audio recording workflows need to be as good as and integrate seamlessly with the tracker experience. The audio graph needs to be solid

I've been using as much stdlib as I can (at least up to whatever Clang supports for C++23) but I'm also using Qt which has its own sorts of stuff and the tracker code I've been heavily deriving from uses very old style C++ and things are a little too intertwined for my liking.

i need this but for bsky. this is the account switcher on elk.zone. and imo this is the most plural-friendly i've seen on any social media UI so far? quick grid of icons, single click to switch. no submenu (unless you choose it thru the kebab icon)

If it were possible to create groups of accounts, like a collective, that people could follow/unfollow as a whole (like a starter pack, but you follow the starter pack and not the ppl in it). I think LiveJournal communities were similar, then maybe that would work for plural systems

But maybe these images don't mean much to ppl outside of our system. One of our friends who had known of members of our system for a few years, we used PluralKit with, when we made a wallpaper of all of us they couldn't name a single headmate and it was kinda hurtful

On Discord we sign w/custom pfp emojis when /plu/ral or PluralKit are unavailable. That's something we can do on fediverse, but not here. Glim & I incorporated our unicode emojis into our diary system tho so using them is a more recent thing. Also we snuck them into the Snowdrop blackboard lol

My headmates want to rebrand main into Maddie / The Roses and make it more plural, and make my account (the one that friends follow instead of anyone else for some reason*) into a "Roses alt" we all use. *I think its bc I was the first headmate who was active here
