On the subject of historical accuracy in the current episode of The Vampire Lestat I was happy to see the costumers did make an effort towards accuracy in the background people. I just never understand why the Georgian period is ignored in favor of the Regency period which wasn't even that long.

Have chosen to DNF Seaborn by Michael Livingston since I'm not finding it particularly interesting or well written. At 150 pages there should be a clear plot and there just isn't. The world building is only offered up in scraps. None of the characters have any personality to them.

Apparently there is some discourse going on with people asking authors not to use big words in their books which is wild to me. If you see a word you don't know then look it up or use context clues to help figure it out
