The single biggest season-on-season drop off I’ve ever seen in a footballer was Fabinho between 2021-22 and 2022-23. Manchester City have about six Fabinhos. Legs gone all over the pitch. They can’t run and react. It’s incredible, and could well get worse before it gets better.
