I'm really having fun coming up with these 2-sheet 8-page zines of my short stories. I'm gearing up to sell at DouijnX, a small convention this April 11, and I'm rushing these guys....but will I be insane and print at home?

Graphic novel pitch tip! when making the pitch, lean into the visual aspect: include small visual "pins" to punctuate each story or plot beat. My visuals are 4x6 inch sketches mounted on Google slides.The technique helps me visualize the story more than mere text would.

I thought 2025 would be the year I achieved fountain pen peace, that I was done and could finally close my pen fund. Obviously, that didn't happen.

Testing my flex fountain pens and waterproof inks on this new Potentate sketchbook and as usual, loving the paper. Feathering is none to minimal with inks that usually feather and bleed. Probably because of the hot press cotton paper.

See, what I do is brew myself some Batangas barako coffee from Taal-roasted beans, so thick it pours like syrup and is black as crude oil, then I dowse it in nondairy creamer and condensed milk, and then I drink nothing but that shit for five days straight.

I also redrew pages from Sandman: Season of Mists one time I got bored. You can tell I was bored because I added tentacles. #PortfolioDay

Chinese tech hardware is aaaaamazing. Checked out the Huawei Matepad Pro 13- inch tablet yesterday. Its on-paper specs put Samsung Galaxy and Ipad to shame. But it's hobbled by subpar global software support (Harmony OS is notoriously not upgraded outside China) and the US Google blockade.
