I get the strangest spam email for potential guests for the podcast. It’s clear they’re not targeting a show about teaching and it is just mass email to any podcasters out there. I do get a good chuckle out of imagining if I actually had any of these people on the show, though. 😂

I’m not very skilled at writing posts avoiding using words that might attract the attention of more unsavory characters, but here goes… Today, I found myself needing to describe to our kids the whole body of humor having to do w/ the size of a man’s… well, you probably know what’s next.

Learning out loud can be so hard, sometimes. Yet, entirely life changing. Feeling grateful to the @tihe.bsky.social podcast guests and community for all the ways these special people have contributed to my life.

I followed Jenny Baumgartner’s recommendation from the most recent @tihe.bsky.social to watch: Won’t You Be my Neighbor (2018). Such an incredible documentary. I encourage anyone wanting to reflect on loving our neighbors using our inherent strengths and deepest sense of purpose to watch.

I thought this looked like an egret but wasn’t used to seeing the salmon color on the bird’s head. Turns out it is a Western Cattle Egret (thanks to Merlin app for helping me identify it). I’ve never been as close to egrets as I was today, as they usually stay clear of humans in Southern California.

Dave and I cleaned out and organized about 1/3 of our walk in pantry today. We celebrated our 20th anniversary in April, meaning that we have done this many times in our two decades together. Still hard to beat the feeling of having done something productive for the day, though.
