I don't really feel like writing this morning. It happens.

One of the tough things about writing a medieval-type fantasy -- which I'm doing off and on -- is divorcing oneself from Earthbound notions of colonialism, the silk road, and the "new world."

I don't tout my POLES REVERSED series very often, but why should I downplay them? Four out of Five have a rating of 4-stars or greater on Amazon.

I haven't written a lot lately because I have a library book that's due and I need to finish it.

In a lot of my writing, I try to bridge the gap between random crap you find on Fictionmania and actual literature as found on lists like this. And I don't know if I've achieved that or if I'm just writing stuff that's neither here nor there. Ah well. A few people like what I do and that feels good

Part of my Realname writing involves a character rushing out onto the field to tend to an injured player at an American high school football game. "Now I just need to come up with a reason why the EMS weren't there first..." (Quick DuckDuckGo search) "They don't have them there??!"

I think the only law enforcement character I've ever written was the protag of HOW I BECAME A BIKER CHICK. That's probably why it's one of the lesser entries in that series. (I also made a point not to portray the profession too positively.)

When you are a writer, it really helps to have an interest in how police work is done. I just had an idea for "Face/Off, but TG" which should write itself, but for my aversion to badge and gun stuff.
