I assisted with data collection on assisted migration of seedling trees this week. This is part of my volunteer work in land conservation. Some of the trees were locally sourced, and others from further south to see if they weather climate change better. We'll monitor their growth over the years.

Meet Dumpling. We sometimes house and care for feral cats while they recover from vet visits as part of TNR. This big guy came through a couple weeks ago and we learned from the colony caretaker that he was abandoned there by a neighbor. We offered to foster him as he clearly isn't feral.. #caturday

From a hike I took in 2022 on the Tubal Cain trail on the Olympic Peninsula. It's a strange & beautiful one. The trail passes an abandoned mine, and a debris field from a long ago B-17 plane crash. The lower trail is gorgeous this time of year, flanked by rhododendrons. #pnw #olympicpeninsula
