@grangemouthhs.bsky.social @lynnstevenson87.bsky.social S1 have been studying fairytales, identifying alien words, using strategies to find the meaning. We used the puppets to retell the story and wrote alternative versions. We enjoyed repeating key phrases.

BGE tutorial groups have been working on their Word Detective skills. They’ll be looking out for alien ‘unknown’ words this week in class and around @grangemouthhs.bsky.social to develop strategies to support their learning. We’ve already identified some in our reading & evaluated our knowledge 👽🕵️

The first air raid happened in our S2 Storyline with pupils discussing the impact on their fictional family, community and planning next steps. We wrote our journal entry discussing their thoughts and feelings. @connectedfalk.bsky.social @grangemouthhs.bsky.social
