Today Cull of the Wild is released in paperback ... and I would love you all to read it (or listen to it ... yes, I recorded the book!) - but if you already have, or just don't have time - could you consider spreading some love and support?

Still no payment from my ex-publisher, so I'm selling a few more of these (bought from their warehouse). ALL FOUR of these, signed, for the price of the 1983 hardback (£16.99) plus postage Please email me at
[email protected]
with your address if you want them. Any shares of this much-appreciated!

Horrified to see the mess that Unbound have created for authors and supporters. So was pleased to be able to order Tom Cox's latest novel directly from Tom
@dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social
. I'm stunned and delighted at how quickly it's arrived so can happily recommend his books and customer service!

After being so shafted by Unbound, Tom Cox (one of my favourite authors - here
@dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social
) is selling his books direct. Delighted to receive this beauty today (I only ordered it yesterday). Highly recommended for all fans of the weird, funny, rambling and surreal.

On their webpage they claim the new company Boundless have taken over the goodwill associated with Unbound. They’ll soon find out there’s very little of that 🤬

Pleased to be supporting Operation Owl run by UK National Wildlife Crime Unit, an initiative to raise the awareness of the role the public play in cases of illegal Raptor Crime in the UK. Please share their message far and wide and report anything suspicious to them.👇

People always cite "moving house" and "divorce" as the most stressful life events but too often they forget "putting a duvet cover on when very tired".

Bafflingly there are still people out there in the world who think being passionate about nature is “kind of weird”. or “a niche interest”. These people have it all wrong. Nature isn’t some quirky sideline to the main business. It IS the main business.

Word of the day is one I mention often. To have the ‘mubble-fubbles’, in the 16th century, was to experience a fit of despondency or low spirits - another name for the Sunday blues.

One thing you will never think after reading a great book or listening to a great album or seeing a great piece of art is, “I’m really glad this person remained cautious while they were making this and guarded against being perceived as weird.”

This morning’s stunning fact: Next year Wembley Stadium will host more live music events than sporting events. And the live music events it will host are guaranteed to financially support grassroots football, but not guaranteed to support grassroots live music.
