Sunrise has put in so much effort over the past 30 years to make sure that there is always a simple choice for someone's first Gundam (First or otherwise). And yet, this seems to have only caused further confusion and discord. How tragically, profoundly, maddeningly Gundam.

Who called it "naming a villainous Gundam faction after The Wizard of Oz" and not "doing something extremely wicked"?

2.5 Dimensional Seduction might be the most impressive turnaround of a story I've ever read. It started as an cheap fanservice romcom, but turned into a genuine exploration of love. It took a flat story and gave it depth. 2D to 3D.

Finished my reread of My Dress-Up Darling Such a good manga, even better the second time

Every day I wake up and think about how 2.5 Dimensional Seduction has nuanced thoughts about the nature of art and love that I genuinely haven't seen elsewhere in shonen manga, but no one knows it because it's hidden behind 1.5 volumes of cheap fanservice.

Coloured the gray details on the handrail with pencil, easy to apply and has a bit of a metallic sheen Really glad I did the edges as well as the surface, adds depth and makes a noticeable difference

My Dress-Up Darling ep 13 is incredible, quite possibly the best directed first episode of the entire Summer 2025 season.

The Kowloon Generic Romance anime isn't the original, and I do wish that it was the manga, but that might still be ok. I'm glad I got to see it, I'm glad it exists for those that prefer anime, and I think it's worth appreciating on its own merits. How very fitting.

The Anime New Era Declaration, flash point for the Otaku Generation, claimed that Amuro's Newtype was a glimmer of hope, but it was his alone and the new generation would have to find their own Newtype.
