Was just unpacking an old box and found my crew jacket from The Game movie, which I hadn’t seen in years. Fincher was opposed to gregarious branding so the only thing tying it to the film was a little logo on the front waist.

It’s wild that in a single WEEK we’re getting Blue Prince, The Oblivion Remaster, and Claire Obscur Expedition 33 on Game Pass. And all three are playable on Consoles, PC, and/or cloud streaming with cross-progression across all of them. As a tech guy and old school gamer, it’s nuts. #Xbox

Finally watched Joker 2 and I kind of agree with Tarantino's take here, at least partially. It's one of the least enjoyable films I've ever seen and yet I was fascinated by it on several levels. It's incredibly they made a film like this since it's so completely at odds with any possible audience.

In 2025 I wish we could normalize not giving out swag to game industry peers. I just cleaned out a closet and threw away five bags of tchotchkes from various trade shows. I love the sentiment but it’s such a waste of money and the environmental hit is bad.

This stupid Bomb Cyclone in Seattle keeps nuking my power. Which is a bummer because I'm trying to freakin' load Stalker 2 and I'm trying to get caught up on Animal Well and the Plucky Squire. Guess I'll have to read a book. Oh wait! I have no light. I would walk my dog but he hates the rain. Ugh.

Love that Balatro got nominated for GOTY. The graphics are basic UI. The underlying poker gameplay is as old as the hills. A CCG roguelike is nothing new. And yet it was all put together so well that it became one of the most addictive games I've ever played.

What Remains of Edith Finch is one of the best narrative experiences I’ve ever had regardless of medium. Can’t wait to see what the team is doing next.

Great episode. I read this book in the 90s and thought the humans stuck in the maze parable kind of reminded me of Sartre's "No Exit" except with Sartre's theme of "Hell is other people" being replaced with "It's great to be laid off!" It was really one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

Been to 3 Olympic events and they all do the same thing with drinks: they pull a plastic bottle out of the cooler, open it and then pour it into a “collector’s” cup that they charge 2 euro for. HUGE waste of plastic and also takes forever, making the lines super slow. Super dumb way to charge more.

It’s incredible to me that @Target has utterly destroyed the shopping experience at their stores in like a year. Rando crap behind glass and nobody there to open it for you. Just a horrible experience now. It was my go to for many years. I’m completely done with them now.
