Nice review of the history of the peer review system It’s increasingly clear to me this has to change - experts should be paid by journals to do this key task that adds rigour & value to scientific publications Journals have exploited academics & universities to make massive profits for too long

👇Great summary at end of a thread on really important research into iatrogenic harms to FND patients I think we shouldn’t just aim to MITIGATE these very real harms - we urgently need to ELIMINATE them The longer this continues the more are harmed Would this be tolerated for any other disorder?!
