When chronic wounds end up festering, we turn to Mamma Taranta to clear the rot and return us to health. We ask for her aid to ease the ache of shedding what we must let go of to move forward. We offer this chant to help connect with her: “Mamma Taranta, help me to shed what no longer serves.”

A working of gratitude with Mamma Taranta ❣️🕷️ She is the Italian folk magic nonna or grandmother spirit of the Tarantula, associated with the ecstatic ritual practice of the tarantella. She can also be worked with to heal stubborn wounds that have begun to fester or to shed what no longer serves us
