Photographer Stuart Bebb captured this stunning moon dog shining over Balliol. A moon dog (or paraselene) appears when bright moonlight passes through cirrostratus clouds filled with hexagonal ice crystals, creating glowing spots of light on one or both sides of the Moon.

Balliol students wrapped up their 18th-century literature paper with a hands-on session at the Bodleian Library Press, where they printed parts of Laurence Sterne’s experimental novel Tristram Shandy. They set individual metal letters to print text and recreated the novel’s iconic marbled page.

Today was an excellent day. I walked a 10 mile @pilgrimtrust.bsky.social route from Islip to Oxford with my fantastic @ballioloxford.bsky.social English students. We stopped at three churches, ate our packed lunch in the sun, and built an impromptu log bridge to cross a flooded footpath.
