You can't call immigrants lazy moochers looking for government handouts and then round them up at Home Depots where you know they are looking for work. You can't say immigrants don't follow the rules and then round them up in courthouses where they are following the rules. Get your lies straight.

When our friends, students, and colleagues canāt travel without fear of detention or deportation, we donāt live in a free society. Iāll never understand the silence of leaders who wonāt use their power to sayāout loudāthat this is wrong. And I wonāt soon shut up about it.

I know that all these institutions know how to push back because when Obama directed them to enforce pre-existing Title IX law, universities said no. They flat out refused until there was a working group and specific guidelines. And even then, they *still* refused.

I think some people hear āgrantsā and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. āPausingā grants means people donāt eat.
