🌞 Our summer celebration is well underway, with patients, staff, and the local community coming together to enjoy live music, activities for all ages, and food from around the world!

The festivities continue as we’re joined by staff, patients, and the community here in Chapel Square, Springfield Village, for our Springfield Summer Celebration 🎉

Together with NHS staff and patients a commemorative plaque was unveiled and the new park’s 700th tree was planted! 💙

Finally, a huge thank you to the Mayor of London @london.gov.uk and pupils from Fircroft Primary school for bringing our ceremony to a conclusion and officially opening the new Springfield Park! 🤍🌳

Anne Beasley, Trust Chair, shared her heartfelt thanks and reflections on this milestone, a celebration of community, and the positive future Springfield Park brings for patients, staff, and neighbours alike. 💙

Dr Rosena Allin-Khan MP and Wandsworth Council Leader Simon Hogg also joined the ceremony to share their thanks and celebrate all that the new park means for Wandsworth, local residents and our local NHS. 👏

Next, we heard reflections from our Chief Executive, Vanessa Ford, who shared what this moment means for our Trust and the wider community: 💬 “This is about more than a park, it’s about breaking stigma, opening up our spaces, and creating a future where mental health is supported out in the open.”

Kicking off the opening ceremony, Ian Garlington, Director of our Better Communities Programme, shared more about our Trust’s journey transform our environments for our patients, staff and our community. 🏗️

We’re here at Springfield Park in the heart of the NHS’s Springfield Village, ready to open 32 acres of new green space for our patients, staff, and local community. 🌿  A space to support mental wellbeing, connection, and the largest new park opened in London in over a decade. 💚
