Like it or not AI is here and will change academia for both better and worse. I've found it to be a hugely useful tool, but see so many academic dismiss it outright (often on moral grounds). Had a medical emergency with a student today (they where ok in the end). Scary as hell. Make sure you know what you’d do if something bad happens because any mandated training you might have had will go straight out your head/not have covered it!

If someone is unaware or inexperienced of something you might say they were ignorant. But as this word is often used as an insult it now has connotations that it is the individual's fault they are ignorant. What's a less loaded way to say ignorant? Or is it just me who thinks this?

Been listening to this book.Drawing from data it goes through the characteristics and trends for each generation, teasing out actual differences between generations vs changes that happen across all groups. Fascinating. Millennials (me)- told we were special, annoyed when we realise we aren’t 🫤

Amazingly combining 2 of my research interest areas, sex & boardgames, Consenticle is a semi-cooperative game where players are having to navigate a sexual encounter where they can’t talk (they’re not the same species). Not played it but love the art. There really is a board game with every theme

So next week I start a new job and in the meantime I’ve been writing! Don’t know if it’ll come to anything yet but this is some of the current source material. Threesomes are still such an interesting topic 😉
