#RevisionTip Dreaming--or waking up from a dream--is passive, and the moment can feel flat to the reader. If the dream is important, try revising it as a scene that happens in real time on the page. It will give your character agency and push the drama forward in an exciting way. #revising

Much to my surprise, I received even more queries in August (916) than July (812), so I have been reading A LOT of queries. I love writers and want them to succeed, but I can't take on everyone. If I pass, please keep trying. There are many agents, and one might be perfect for you!

#WriteTip Use clichés as placeholders to later replace with POV (feelings, theories, opinions). Ex. Instead of a chill running down a spine or goosebumps, let the character confide to the reader what scares them the most. The more revealing the confession, the more compelling the voice. #revising
