I think too many people underestimate the value and skill of elementary school teachers. Getting students the foundational learning blocks they need to get the rest of their education is not a small task. Plus, teaching multiple content areas and keeping them engaged over hours deserves more pay.

I cannot understate the devastation that losing #NSF funding would have on K-12 education. For example, #NSF-funded research informed the design of the #OpenSciEd instructional model, which has enhanced Ss & Ts access to HQIM.
