ICE saw the election results from last night and couldn't cope so they decided to terrorize a daycare this morning.

Just read Alderman Hopkins's newsletter. Opening paragraph is about "unacceptable" traffic due to bridge closures. He said he "implored" CDOT to come up with "creative solutions to ease some or any of the current congestion". Nowhere in the newsletter was a word about transit or bikes.

Horrible commute this morning. Signals out at multiple intersections. No CPD to direct traffic. CDOT parked in the bike lane on Dearborn was icing on the cake.

Ald. Jessie Fuentes’ office just released a statement she was handcuffed and threatened arrest amid ongoing ICE activity in Humboldt Park. Tear gas was also used on passersby at a Home Depot an at Rico Fresh, her office says. I’m on my way to an emergency press conference now.

I’m old enough to remember town halls where drivers lose their minds over paint-only designs and the alder responds with kid gloves.
