As part of our commitment to providing more reliable service, we've improved service across several bus routes. 🚍

Ride free on your first day of school! We're partnering with Butcher Boy Cooking Oils for a fifth straight year to provide free bus and train rides on Monday, August 18.

Throughout 2025, 20 bus routes will have service added to ensure 10-minute or better scheduled service between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Bus cancelation info is now available in real-time! Before a bus starts moving, arrival countdowns are based on the schedule. But if an operator calls in sick or the bus has a mechanical problem, that trip might get canceled—now you’ll know.

The CTA is a fast, convenient way to get to this year's Lollapalooza festival in Grant Park. Riders can rely on the Red and Blue Lines, as well as the elevated lines in the Loop to get to the festival.

A fully accessible Austin Green Line station is coming soon! The original streel level Austin Green Line station opened up in 1899 and has not been upgraded since it was rebuilt in 1962. Riders can look forward to a modernized station in 2026.
