I’ve a delightful elderly neighbour who I chat with. She told me yesterday that her motivation to get up each morning at the moment is to switch on the radio and hear that trump is dead. She then gave me a beautiful smile.

Today was the last day of the whiskey barrel water feature. I'm reusing the pump in the new waterfall and stream project. The barrel will become a flower bed, which will look good against the dull fence.

I finished building the Lego Batcar. An enjoyable build that's taken me a few months to build. Lego quietens my mind and is my therapy 🙂

In terms of the garden stream project, today is the first milestone. The delivery of 1 ton of rocks. It's a kerbside delivery so I will need to move them all by hand around to the back.🪨🪨🪨

This year's project is a Japanese inspired garden stream. This is the area it will be landscaped into and today the first parts arrived. A header spillway and 7m of hose. I'm designing it in my head as I go along.

Pink footed geese flying noisily over my house in the snow 😊They are heading from Fritton to the Breydon Estuary where they will be safe from predators like foxes etc. In March they will all head back to Iceland & Greenland and I will miss their daily flyovers.

Every year I seem to find something amazing that has been in plain sight for decades. My latest discovery is the movies of Studio Ghibli. Absolutely wonderful animation and music. The end credits of Arrietty had me spellbound. Absolutely beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️
