Maybe I'm a masochist, but all the stuff people complain about in FFXIV are the things I tend to enjoy the most. Dungeon Leveling for a new job is a lot of fun and most people are very nice and you get to practice your rotations and junk. I might feel differently after level 50, but I like it now.

I just finished FFXIV A Realm Reborn and I think people have REALLY overstated how bad it is. ARR is okay, but a bit long so I understand bouncing off it, but it's mostly fine. Also, I should probably get some friends and an FC to join for the game.

Playing FFXIV and I'm almost done with ARR! Having loads of fun. Hopefully I can keep it up for everything that comes after

Booting up Avowed again for the anniversary patch. Just got through the tutorial and man this game is really cool. Love the combat, the world, and the area design. A ton a ton a ton of fun. Need to play PoE 1 and Deadfire so I can appreciate the world a little more.

Some people want to play a game that's lower powered... But also has spells that just solve problems and insta kill enemies in an AOE at level 1. Y'know low power things.

This video convinced me that every time people complain about PF2E characters are "super heroes" they're just finding things to complain about. Bob instantly kills someone 500 feet away for failing a save and Taron summons a creature that instantly nabs a chest for him. It's fucked.

I commissioned an artist last year for about $300 USD. They've fallen off the face of the earth and given no contact since September. Not really sure what to do about it at this point. They're clearly still on Steam, playing games, but they're offline everywhere and have largely disappeared.

There are a lot of people who are going to be mad about this because I'm sure a ton of mods will break, but honestly booting up FF7 on Steam is so annoying and archaic that I was using an emulator with a translation patch to play FF7 for a while. It was a better experience, straight up.

Protip: If a piece of game design is frustrating you, think about the purpose the design is intending to serve. Otherwise, you may end up calling good games poorly designed because you get personally frustrated by them.
