PMA contract ratified! Last night, members of our chapter at the Philadelphia Museum of Art voted 99% to ratify a new 3-year union contract! The founding chapter of our local, PMA Union has been fighting for many of the wins in this contract since first unionizing in 2020!

Earlier this week, our chapter at the Penn Museum voted unanimously to ratify their new union contract! Their win follows weeks of intense negotiations. The previous contract expired on June 30th and members had voted unanimously to authorize a strike if necessary.

Whew! We want to congratulate every @afscmedc47.bsky.social member on everything we’ve accomplished together over the past four months, the busiest, most productive in our history. From organizing new members to negotiating new contracts, we celebrate our wins and continue the fight!

We did it. After receiving the most votes in DC47 history for a Tentative Agreement with the City of Philadelphia, union members voted YES on their new 3-year contract by 84.2%. Participation in the vote was 55% of the membership, which shows the member energy level in this union remains high!
