On the Dibbling price tag. Saints getting 100 out there as a number is fine. I'd expect a club with a top English talent to want a big big fee. Some discussion about whether his contract expires 26 or 27. Either way, keeping him a year will have his value plummet unless he signs a new deal.

Obviously homegrown is a big bonus. We probably should've signed Archie Gray when he moved to Spurs, but we weren't prepared to guarantee him he'd stay with the first team. Hopefully lesson learned.

Tyler Dibbling. For me he'd be an excellent signing. Reminds me a bit of Kulusevski at Spurs. Can play wide right or centrally. Can progress the ball by passing or dribbling. Looks fairly developed physically for his age. Really good technique. Would flourish with Pep.

We aren't buying 15 new players this summer. The nucleus of the next title winning Pep team is already at the club. If anything, we need a deeper, younger squad. So we need to build on what's already here, not rip it up because of one underperforming season.

Possibly one of the most exhausting things about this season has been the relentless whining about our best young players. Whether it's Phil or Rico or Jeremy or Savinho. These players are the future of the club and yet weekly I read angry missives about how they're all not good enough.

The headloss after this game is absolutely wild to me. Same culprits rushing to call for Pep, Doku etc. This season is what it is now, the aim is the top five which we’re absolutely on for achieving. City were poor today but that was a quality issue on the day for me.

Severance. Wow. No spoilers in this post, but it is an incredible piece of television. It is hard to make something that perfect, that fragile, so complete it is painful to watch at times. Very inspiring.

In terms of incomings, it's the same thing. City have shown in the past that they can have a couple of big windows to completely revitalise a squad. We started in January, and this summer should do most of the heavy lifting that is left.

The teams that Pep picks between now and the end of the season will also be incredibly instructive of who he wants around and who he doesn't want around. With no CL there's no need for rotation, he'll be going into each game picking his favoured XI. Those in the periphery will be toast.

A few people are underestimating how City have operated in the past vis a vis building squads. If you consider that most if not all the players whose contracts expire this summer or summer of 2026, will leave this summer, then we will see AT LEAST five players out the door from the 1st team.
