Traditional art is a little nerve-wracking when it comes to commissioned pieces but it makes me SO happy to get to paint for people! I’ve missed painting so much and I’m happy I’ve been making time and space for it this year!

The moment I was given this at BFC, I almost cried by how amazing this came out. Seeing my sona "grow up" with me for over a decade now makes me love and appreciate every art piece I have with him Thank you again @ashenwhiskers.bsky.social for painting my boy, I love it so much 😭💙

One of the most EXCITING things at #BFC was picking up this absolutely STUNNING badge from @ashenwhiskers.bsky.social They were also VERY KIND as I tried not to fanboy in the dealers den 💫 This now lives on my desk 💜 💜 💜

I have mounted the baby on the wall !! And as it turns out it’s in a shrine of @ashenwhiskers.bsky.social art.. but hey it’s some beautiful art so who can blame him for hanging around there. Oh and the bandannas are ashenwhiskers creations too ^^

I am feeling MUCH better this week. Recovered from the crud and took my first full weekend off in what must be months @_@ I'm going to be trying to take things easier for the rest of the year, but there's still lots to do! >:3

Very relieved to be feeling like 90% better this morning, I was not expecting to wake up feeling so bad yesterday. Gonna take a few more much-needed days off before getting back to work next week!

it's a marathon, not a sprint. if you keep challenging yourself you will eventually make something that you can't believe came from your own hands. and then you'll do it again, and again, and again. but if there is a stage where a blank canvas stops being imposing and scary, i'm not there yet.

Been feeling increasingly icky since coming home, mostly stuffy sinuses and general exhaustion. Tested negative for COVID on Tuesday, testing again today.

Seeing all these kiddos trying their hand at art since BFC is really awesome. KEEP GOING ain’t no artist walkin’ away with bangers every time. Yall should see some of the amorphous shit i draw and do not upload lmao USE REFERENCES. TRACE SHAPES. SCRIBBLE! Just keep going!

2. We had to ask the hotel to refresh our coffee when it ran out, and so I chatted a LOT with the front desk. Probably 8+ times a day. On the last day the person I interacted with the most told me how much she LOVED my energy. Always smiling, upbeat, and she even called me ADORABLE! Ahhhh CRYING

BFC WAS AWESOME! I was the head of Hospitality and Welfare, and there were two things I want to talk about. 1. I was called to help an attendee that was having a really hard time, and when I got there OTHER attendees were already helping! They were chatting, sharing things, being a community 1/2

I lost a hat and a scarf at MFF last year somehow, and it look like I’m continuing my recent trend of losing things at conventions unfortunately. Lost a hoodie I’ve only worn a few times. Thought I had left my marker originals at home only to find them during loadout!

Ricochet and I are on our way home, about half way. I’ve slept a lot, and between naps I’ve been trying to put words to how I feel after BFC, it’s a struggle. I have so many things to say, and I think maybe I’ll try more tomorrow, but right now I want to just thank /everyone/ involved.

After being pulled away from the grind of my busy work life and being immersed in something that felt like a dream, I leave BFC feeling completely reinvigorated and alive again. @babyfurcon.com is proof of what happens when the passion, talent and pride of this community all comes together. 👏
