Exciting news for Jamaica. We are part of a multi-national bid with the United States, Costa Rica and Mexico to host the 2031 Women's World Cup. And the national stadium renovation and makeover begins soon. Hopefully, the Jamaican women's game progresses in the coming years to meet this occasion.

Naya Cardoza struck again for Brown University, scoring the opening goal in a 2-2 draw against Harvard. The Jamaican defender leads the league with seven goals and has impressed both offensively and defensively all season.

Destiny Powell scored her first goals for Daytona State, contributing two in a 5–1 win over the EFSC Titans. This brings her tally to two goals and three assists in her first season. The victory crowns Daytona State as the NJCAA Region 8 regular-season champions, finishing 6–0 in Region 8 play.

Good luck to Reggae Girlz midfielder Izzy Groves and Athlone Town in today’s FAI Cup final against Bohemians, as they aim to complete a historic Irish league and cup double.

I just posted yesterday about Zoë Vidaurre (second from right) scoring in her last three games. Well make that four games, now. The Jamaican defender scored a brace from the penalty spot and an assist, taking her tally to five goals and two assists for George Mason University this season.

George Mason University is back in action tonight. Defender Zoë Vidaurre is going into this match on the back of scoring a goal in each of her last three consecutive games, as well as registering an assist. She's one of several Jamaican women performing well in US college soccer right now.

Jamaica's Lachante Paul got in on the act in this 6-0 drubbing of QPR. The 23-year-old scored Watford's fifth goal in the 44th minute and assisted the sixth in the 58th minute.

Jamaica's Natasha Thomas scored her maiden WSL 2 goal for newly promoted Ipswich Town Women in a 3-2 victory against Portsmouth—their first ever WSL 2 win. The 29-year-old's goal came in the 61st minute, levelling the score at 2-2 before her team went on to win it.

With two penalties successfully taken against London City Lionesses today, Manchester City's Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw has increased her tally of WSL goals to three for the season. She's back at work.

Claudia Rizzo is the daughter of new owner, Gianluigi Rizzo. Founded in 1925, the club—famous for its left-wing fan culture—is currently in Serie C, has spent 28 seasons in Serie B, and was promoted to Serie A twice in the 1970s. The women’s team was promoted to Serie A this year for the first time.

Claudia Rizzo, Ternana Calcio's first female president, is among the youngest ever presidents of a professional football club in Italy. At the age of 23 she joins the ranks of Alessandro Ruggeri, who took over Atalanta at 21 in 2008, and Umberto Agnelli, who led Juventus from the age of 22 in 1955.

Kayla McKenna scored a hat-trick for Grasshopper Women in an 8-2 victory over Luzern in the Swiss Women's Super League. The 29-year-old Reggae Girlz striker has scored five league goals in five games since the start of the season, along with a goal against BIIK Shymkent in a Europa Cup qualifier.

Shaneil Buckley already has six goals and three assists for Daytona State this season. The 20-year-old Reggae Girl is a former student of Excelsior High School—Jamaica's most successful school in women's soccer—and a serial Jamaica Women's Premier League champion with Frazsiers Whip Football Club.

Some journeys in women's football are more challenging than others. "The long lack of domestic action robbed Pakistan of a generation of players, hence the need for and importance of British-born players..."

An exciting talent to keep an eye on. Naya Cardoza is still in college but she's been a part of the Reggae Girlz squad since 2024 and has an int'l goal against Peru. A defender who's good at scoring—particularly from corner kick set-pieces at the moment—she's leading the Ivy League with six goals.

England and Arsenal fans right now...and rightly so.

Looking at the NWSL's and CONCACAF's lack of presence in the Ballon d'Or, part of it may come down to weak int’l tournaments in the region. Maybe women's football should unify across CONCACAF and CONMEBOL to create more competitive continental tournaments at both the national and club levels?

Zoë Vidaurre scored the game-winning goal from the penalty spot in George Mason's 2-1 win over George Washington on the weekend. It was the Jamaican's first goal of the season.
