Alice doesn't remember her mother, not really anymore. Ezra has a tentative, at an arms length sort of relationship with his parents. He loves them but they don't really understand him. Rasiri, uh, canonically watched her mother be executed for a crime she believe her mother did not commit.

A lot. Usually is there a time period I'm trying to depict, is there a class system that exists in the area or era I'm trying to emulate, how does the world affect my characters upbringing, what's common, is there religion that affects them, what are the biggest conflicts outside of the characters.

Genuinely usually pretty happy. I started doing stuff like this to help cope with stress and trauma, and it's still the case. While often this ends up with deeply personal characters to me, it does help and I do feel like I'm able to process better for it.

I have a habit of denying my characters a traditionally "happy" ending... One of the biggest critiques I've had since I was a kid about my writing is that I tend to lean to the macabre and tragic, and it bummed people out to read my stories cause often my characters did not get a "happy" ending.

I'm pretty open about the tropes I like. Trauma and romance situations are generally my favorites, separate, together, it's all good lol I also like a touch of comedy. I love seeing a party put together slowly that I'm playing a vampire and how they figure it out lol

Am I attracted to them? No. Is that the point though? For some, absolutely. Delight 100% is meant to. And Chione is suppose to have that affect against her will/wishes.

This has canonically come up for Kitsu. "It's not my fault" is her biggest lie she tells herself, because if she allows herself to believe it is, she won't have the strength to get back up and fix all that's happened.

So, I started playing the demo cause a buddy of mine was asking if I was interested in the game and, frankly, I wasn't sure. I never played the original, I wasn't sure if it was the type of game I'd enjoy. I ended up LOVING IT, but more comically yes, I did make me and some DnD buddies characters

It can be one, the other, a mix of both. It entirely depends on the character, story, and purpose I have for them. And can shift as time goes on.

Another eventful week for some! Alice has officially been 'de-lichified', after the party worked hard to get her patron/fathers blessing. She's not got a massive burn scar from Lathander as a reminder of his hatred of undead and what she was. She's uh, not doing great!

Genuine answer, huh? Interesting... Alice: She likes her magic, it's inherent in her. If she was not an Undead Warlock, she would be a Shadow Magic Sorcerer. Part of why her Patron took interest in her at such a young age, she already had a wealth of magical potential and she's quite proud of that.

Skuld is an ACTUAL mother, as in, she is married and has three sons. So, to a degree, it's a little inevitable. I don't usually play or write characters who act as "group mom" though, mostly cause if it's not done well, it can be REALLY grating. People don't like being mothered when they're adults.

-Cracks knuckles- My time has come... So I have a special sorta feeling about this, as I am a notably Hellenic Chthonic Witch who generally practices with herbs, gemstones, and essential oils (and incense!) In my early 20s, I got REALLY into gemstones and their meanings and metaphysical effects!

TMW you have to fight the urge to change a character just because you have a cheesy trope you like but it doesn't match your vision for the character.... Me...me tf... I'm fighting so hard not to have a character be a messy romantic cause she's not meant to settle down ever.

Yuuki is a name I've ALWAYS loved, but is also an intentional reference to a vampire Anime I like. Apprentice's real name is Alice, and it's because I like Alice. It feels old but still elegant which suited her.
