@carmparens.bsky.social is spoiling me today, a day with no particular significance. Not that I’m complaining.

Couple posts short of hitting my new years resolution quota from a couple years ago.

Been playing league with Carmen, who is just learning. Today I told her “btw as an adc you do most of your champ damage with your right click” and then the next two games she killed tons of people.

Threeish years later, my lattes have finally hit the illustrious bar of “better than starbucks” according to my wife. Been nice having the time to make her several this break!

Made the wife a latte, myself an americano, and brought up coffee hour with a couple of cookies for us to enjoy in bed. 20 minutes later, I squandered all that good will after she showed me her tweet, I said it was great, she asked if I rtd it, and I said “I would never”

Buying a mattress. Talking to salesperson, signing things, nodding knowingly at return policies and delivery dates, etc. Meanwhile, Carmen is attempting to unhook the zipper of my jacket from my wallet, which I somehow got hooked together. I wish I had thought to take the jacket off.

For those wondering, 31 was the final number of hair ties found under the couch after it got loaded into the truck. I would set the line for ones I’m responsible for at 30.5.

Celebrated gratitude today rather then yesterday. Incredible food, incredible people.

Catching up on my correspondence over the holiday, but it’s just me typing “Hey! Sorry I <haven’t responded/been quiet>, just’ve been really busy lately. How are <you/ya’ll?>” to text threads and group chats, then silencing all notifications.

Arcane got me to play TFT for the first time since set 1. Enjoying it a good deal - it’s unmistakably the same game, but so, so many iteration loops more polished. Congrats to @shawnelizabeth.bsky.social and everyone else who worked on the set!

It gives me great joy to say I did not have to be at an airport today and thus see no need to ask for questions.

Spending a second day in a row at the airport, now that my east coast errands are done. Any more questions, comments, anything to make the hours pass?
