For two years, the Americans were meticulous in their Ryder Cup preparations. Over three days at Bethpage Black, their European counterparts dismantled those efforts methodically and, for the U.S. team, devastatingly.

The Falcons’ offense looked rudderless to start the season. That same unit torched the Commanders for 435 yards and an average 6.8 yards per play in a 34-27 win.
