MCBC is hiring! Both positions are remote (we do not have a brick and mortar office), but with the requirement that you be able to travel to in-person meetings in Marin County (i.e. you should live in the SF Bay Area).

This past weekend, the Sausalito City Council voted to reject half a million dollars in grant funding earmarked for bike lanes, new crosswalks, and dedicated loading zones. We are deeply disappointed in this shortsighted decision. See our full coverage here.

The Sausalito City Council has an opportunity to install bike lanes on Bridgeway, one of the most-ridden roads in the Bay Area. The project will be taken up at a special meeting of the council tomorrow, Saturday March 29th, at 1 PM. Suffice to say, it's going to be a contentious meeting. š§µ

Breaking: MTC has just requested that the 3/20 meeting to decide the fate of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge pathway be postponed to next meeting, on 4/3. We do not know the reason for this, but there are rumors that some sort of "compromise" is being proposed. I'll follow up when we know more.

Big news! Easy Grade is opening to bikes! After years of advocacy, trail work begins this spring & is expected to open in November! We're enormously grateful to all our partners for making this project a reality. Another step forward in our 3 Gaps Initiative!

The final vote on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge is about to go down! We're headed into the March 20 meeting knowing we have people power on our side. Thanks to everybody who has followed along the last few months. We wanted to share a quick recap of what BCDC is voting on, and what's at stake.

My latest in the Marin IJ, about why Sausalito needs to move out of the 1950s and improve Bridgeway for people walking or biking. The decision will happen on Saturday, March 29th, and will represent a fork in the road for the city at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. š§µ
