Playtesting games is so satisfying. Preparing for it forces me to concentrate on what matters most and get so much valuable shit done. Schedule regular playtests, not only to gather feedback but also to constantly put you back on track, preparing your #indiegame for an actual human being.

I feel like making a site that allows you to see which conferences you could go to with the money Informa TechTarget drains from you for a GDC. I feel like globally, you could go to two or three good conferences, be more effective, and still spend less time and money than you would on a single GDC.

Informa TechTarget does want to reassure everyone that they'll be "delivering long-term value to shareholders". That "value" being your $2,499 ticket for a half-effective conference in one of the most expensive cities in Earth with one of the most restrictive visa policies on Earth.
