“You’re not so bad yourself.” She stretched, the sort of fake stretch that was simply to show off her body and grab his attention. Before she slowly crawled over and lay herself over him. “I’m in the mood to get filthy.”

"Really?" Slides it up a little more. "I really much prefer bikini warmth."

Turning the heat up because it’s freezing. And she isn’t paying the bill.

“I have needs.” “Immediate and demanding needs.”

“Like a murder flip-kick?” Acting like she knew anything about this stuff. “Nice.”

“It was a theatrical display with a spoon and a whisk, yet somehow the skin still came off. And we had soufflés by the end of it. I was very impressed.” But she hadn’t filled up. “Will they do rainbow goth cake?”

“Well done! Is that a-“ Checks Google “an acid drop? Or an air walk?”

"I'm not late, I'm precisely on time!" A little late. "I got caught up watching a flogging." Leaning in to kiss his cheek.

“Your love of food is showing. We can have six. Three for the human-kind, and three for those of us who like a little more blood in our cake.” Feet kicking in the water, she ended up with her toe poking at the tap. “I hope to invite enough people that there will be a brawl.”

And she was not getting out of this bath any time soon. But she did kiss the tip of his nose. “Tomorrow, I think we should go and pick out a wedding cake flavour. Or three.”

She twisted in the bath to lie with her arm som the edge, on her side to gaze at him. “I’ve forgiven him. But I do owe him a prank in return. Don’t warn him, I want it to be a surprise.”

“Aww, I was going to have him as my hair wrap. I feel bad that he’s being punished for his little prank.” Well, sort of bad. She was still annoyed about it.

“Where’s Sash..?”

Anyhoo! This and then bed. I have much planning to do.

“Isn’t it all a product of animals?”

Mmhmm. But this is about souls and beings who are already dead. And Death has no dominion over Heaven or Hell.

“Oh. I have no idea what that even means, but I know a lot of people who say it.”

The preparations are coming along nicely. Her armies are vast and deadly, armed with the most atrocious curses and weapons that Hell could come up with. It’s almost time to march. And maybe she’ll have the Heavenly Throne by Christmas. Wouldn’t that be something?

She grumbled, leaning back into his embrace and the warm water. “The act of intercourse triggers ovulation in my particular breed of Demon. It should be a guaranteed thing.” And it wasn’t magic, so she hadn’t broken any agreement. -

"Not that I've shared, no." She certainly had a lot of names for some of the things, such as the shoe rack that she'd caught her ankle on. That one was called 'That Bastard Device of Uselessness'.

“Darling, your new friend better not be invited into this house.” “I believe the girls will support my suggesting of hanging her by her ankles until her brain develops a few ridges.”

"Is the kitchen all put back together, then?"

“Maybe a should arrange a snow day in one of the lesser used rooms? I’m sure throwing some snowballs would be less… icky.” But… “Well I don’t know, I’m assuming that at some point I should be.” She’d assumed she should have been by now. It was starting to worry her a little, honestly.

“Illyana and I were having fun.” She pouted a little for effect, but honestly, the warm water had already eased off her sour mood. And the mix of salts he’d added so that it was like her hot springs. “Those chemicals might be bad for the baby.”

“I’ll be having a word with your Sash later…” But she’d stopped screaming so that was progress. Only so she could focus on ten lathering.

Thirty minutes later the microwave is on fire. The forks have melted. But they're making the most of it by toasting marshmallows on the stove. The refrigerator has lost a door, but that was just coincidental and NOTHING at all to do with THEM (Right?)

Sips his tea with a smile. He's pouring over a strange series of scrolls on a separate table besides the breakfast table so not to take up space. Now with three apprentices, a beloved wife-to-be, a living house... Everything is very lively.

“Some people need to be set on fire, Yǔ. Like some of them need to be hit in the face with chairs.” Like, duh? “And anyways, I think the house enjoys it. It’s enrichment.”

“Only people we like, or….” “And the house fights back!”

“You get the forks, and I’ll get the lighter fluid!” “It gives the popped corn amazing flavour so I bet it’ll make the popped forks taste AMAZING!”

“We should microwave the forks!” “Make popped forks.”

“You told me to stop burning things!”

“Ive been getting my popped corn from somewhere.”

“That’s why you remove the tongue first.”

“I wonder if the microwave is called Gary.”
