"Yes, she very much liked that." He laughed. All water spirits under the bridge. "If you hadn't appeared that evening I may not have sought her out. You're a sort of cosmic rock that diverted my fate towards happiness."

He can sense something moving in the city below, but wizards, sorcerers, mages and Strange magical things come and go in New York. This was strong. But just enough to pull at the frayed yarn from his strained senses. He'd look into it later. He has a world to kill.

Time travel is wonderful. Alternative timelines aside, his some favorite adventures are time travel related. Mostly because he bends such things to his will. Both things. Time and travel.
