Something I find entertaining in media is attacks that, if they landed, would be -far- too adult for the PG rating, but fortunately something stops the attack from landing. Notably, head stomps. Like imagine how hyucked up it'd be if the thing saving them just didn't happen lol

It's more conductive to teach people about art movements in history, genres, and abstracts, than it is to just repeat "don't do this" and "draw daily and you'll be good eventually" etc. My art improved most when I started learning about that stuff, and enjoying my own view on art

Playing Vintage Story, I've been doing some experimenting with crop growth. Two Flax crops with a water source between them, one on tera petra with potash, and the other just high fertility. The difference is only about 1 day faster growth... So in the future I won't bother with fertiliser tbh.

I've said it before and I'll say it again again, but the aspiration of realism as the end-goal of art is something that, for a majority of people, would be the death of the enjoyment of the craft. Realism is like soy sauce - it enhances things, but not all foods, and too much can ruin any dish.

I rather miss when social media felt like joining conversations, as opposed to standing in the streets with a charity stall and trying to talk to people who ignore you and pretend they are busy/don't hear/see you
