Bit late to say this since I mostly was recovering, but last week performing the Mikado was one of the best experiences of my life, and I was so glad to be a part of it all! Getting an applause after my accent work as Pooh-bah on Saturday evening was such a thrill for me. What a wonderful experience

Last night’s rehearsal was a full read-through of the Mikado spoken script with the other principal cast members. I don’t think I’ve ever had a read through before where people were laughing so loudly at some of the lines I was reading out (in the manner I intend to portray Pooh-bah).

Who I’m supposed to be playing in “The Mikado” in June, versus who I’m actually playing according to my fellow performers…

So, last week went well, audiences loved our show of My Fair Lady, however on Friday I was invited to an audition on Sunday, and I’m happy to reveal I will be playing the part of Pooh-bah in The Mikado in June \o/

Last day of my performance of My Fair Lady, starting with a matinee show at 2:15pm followed by an evening performance at 7pm. Gonna be exhausted I reckon…

Dress rehearsal done tonight. Then Opening Night tomorrow and four more shows until Saturday Evening. Here we go!

Been spending all of today at the venue I’m performing at this week, with Band Call in the morning, and costume checks in the afternoon (need a cummerbund). Now got some testing of scenes on stage. I’m knackered!

Finally completed a full game of Civ 7 as Hatshepsut with a culture victory. I'll admit, Civ 7 is starting to grow on me, even with it's myriad of UI problems and stuff, there are still things I do like about it.

Had a bit of an anxiety attack this evening. Stressed out about a lot of things lately. I'll recover.

So patch 11.1 (World of Warcraft) comes out tomorrow, however the NA regions get it today so that they can test the patch for bugs and get them corrected so that they’re gone when the patch arrives over here. 👍 I like to think of this period as the Charlie Testing period. 😎

I'm sads. I really want to like Civ 7, but the UI being what it is, I just can't bring myself to go through the Exploration and Modern age because the extra complications from those ages just won't be compatible with how bad the UI is. I think Firaxis needs to have a long hard look at how to fix it.
