think the crucial miscommunication in ffxiv players recommending the game is that if you dont like the base gameplay loop it doesnt "get good at heavensward/shadowbringers". the story gets better but by the time i got to the good narrative i was already enjoying the gameplay

endwalker the 6.0 singleplayer story is a lovely conclusion to the main arc of ffxiv with great moments and a lot to love endwalker the expansion to an mmo. on the other hand
